As this clashes with the G4 in Bournemouth, there's less Brits than there might be otherwise. But still a reasonably big contingent. (Because they live over there? Because it's easier and cheaper to get to Dublin than Bournemouth for a lot of people in the north of the country? Because it's carpet not...
With quite a lot of discussion already about this tie and no doubt much more to come, I thought it time we had a specific thread. Having had my own initial thoughts and read the various points made, I remain thinking nothing other than for now this looks a very unfortunate draw and more especially if Simo...

QR1: Alexander Rushin UNR vs (q15) Tomas Stillman (USA) WR 1675 (CH = 1399 in September 2015) QR1: Jonathan Binding WR 1878 (CH = 1756 last December) vs Lamar Remy (USA) UNR Farris was second on the qualies acceptance list, but there's no sign of him, so maybe he's crept into the main draw.
A very thin British contingent in qualifying, suggesting that Jodie Burrage has got in direct, once Special Exempts were cleared, and Anna Loughlan probably added to the wildcards. Surprisingly there is one bye in the draw. 2 wins are required for qualification QR1 Tzarina Tuen Matthews v (12) Vio...
At a much lower standard I did the same thing, swapping tennis for golf around age 15.After numerous beatings at tennis individually (but good team success) I loved the advantages of golf over tennis:a) you could compete and win from day one against much better playersb) you could practice much more...
QR1: (q4) Ed Corrie WR 362 v (wc) Malik Bhatnagar (CAN) UNR (junior CH 248 in Jan) Not sure what has happened to Liam, who was tweeting from Gatineau yesterday but was below Ed on the entry list and isn't in the qualifying draw.
Does anyone know why some challenger events carry more ranking points than others at the same or even higher prize money bracket. i.e. $85k the winner gets 110 points but at a $100k you might only get 100 points, but some $100k do offer 110 points. Similarly at 75k sometimes the winner gets 90 points, ot...
I try to understand why do so few players add the serve-and-volley to their game, virtually none of the top players? This style definitely seems be the easiest, surest way to win a point at the net. http://wp.me/p2iyrR-6M

With the announcement of the seedings, I may as well get the show on the road with the news that Andy, the defending champion, is top dog in SW19 this year: GENTLEMEN'S SINGLES1 MURRAY, Andy (GBR) WR 12 DJOKOVIC, Novak (SRB) WR43 FEDERER, Roger (SUI) WR 54 NADAL, Rafael (ESP) WR 25 WAWRINKA, Stan (SUI)...

This looks truly hard to call this year with many reasons why not for just about all the top contenders, but someone has to win. I have listed the current 6 bookies' favourites in seeding order. Who do you think will be champion ? -- Edited by steven on Saturday 1st of July 2017 07:21:13 PM-- Edited by stev...
Qualifying starts tomorrow, and amongst those who miss out on main draw wildcards are Finn Bass and Jack Molloy. Hamish Stewart's win over Corentin Moutet appears to have earned him one of the main draw wildcards QR1 Dominic West v (16) Thomas Bosancic (AUS) Damian Rodriguez v (15) Sangeet Sridhar...
