Thanks for that. I've had a closer look now, and the stat I was looking for was 0/7 break points in the second set. But they only won 17 points in the whole set, 6 on serve.
I read the rules as stating that every match will be played as the best of three sets, with a tie-break in the first two sets. But the dead doubles rubber has a MTB if one set all. So in answer to your question, it appears it would be played to a full three sets, with NO deciding tiebreak in the third.
Nice to end the tie on a positive note for GB and a more friendly one with the doubles.
It was worth watching if only for Joss's incredible behind the back volley in the 2nd set. I think Laura is playing a few clay events next so she will be glad of getting this practice in a low pressure situation.
Here's a link, for anyone that missed it http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/39685102

Yes - I was horrified to see they were playing a MTB, but the commies said that it would have been a proper 3rd set in a live rubber (though I didn't realise they wouldn't have played a TB in it).
Out of interest, does anybody know what Anne was referring to when she said she had heard about what went on at the Romania Vs Belgium tie?
Is this what you're looking for? https://www.vavel.com/en-us/tennis-usa/750780-fed-cup-romania-still-unsure-about-its-team-for-the-tie-against-belgium.html
Would have hoped so; almost every of the individual charges was worthy of that alone. In sum it should have been more than enough to warrant the life ban
