Collins making a fight of it but has definite room for improvement on her footwaork. At times it looks like tennis is a sport that is played at too fast a pace for her.

Collins now breaks at the start of the 3rd, thanks to UE's from Sewing. The 14th seed has gone to pieces. It's only the start of the 3rd but things are Looking good for Ali. She has all the momentum.

Ali 4-0 up. Playing aggressively and filled with confidence. Has won both her service games to love. The American girl head down, playing with zero. What a turn around in events from being on the cusp of exiting the match a set ago. For the first set and a half there only looked one winner, with Sewing taking the first 6-3. What a sport tennis is!

Sewing wins a sercice game to make her 1-4 down and not Collins is shaky, drops her serve and now her lead is cut to 4-2. Game on?

Yep, Sewing now wins her service game to love and it's 4-3. The momentum has shifted. But Collins still a break up and serving to try and make it 5-3.

Double fault from Collins at 15-30 down gives Sewing 2 break points. Collins then hits a rally fh marginally out in the next point, a UE and we are at 4-4.

Sewing holds to go 5-4 and now it's on Collins to hold to stay in the match.

Uh oh, 15-30 down on her serve Collins slips at the back of the court and twists her ankle. Sewing and the umpire were over. She was down for a minute or two. Back on her feet now but play not resuming yet. May be looking at a visit from the physio now.

No physio. Play resumes. Collins serves a double to go 15-40 down and the loses the game. Clearly struggling phyisically with her movement.

We've been playing for 2 and a half hours. Sewing wins her serve game 40-30, with Collins making a fight of it. She is moving more freely now.

For all the world, at 30-40 (match point) down on serve. Collins hit a drop shot that looked out. But there was no call. Sewing couldn't belive it. And nor could I. It was on the far line to the umpire. No hawkeye.

Collins holds, we are 7-7.
