Interesting reading, although if you look carefully at the picture captions, you may spot the typo. I know Ken may be getting on a bit but I am not sure he is quite 345 years old yet.
He does use the phrase "young lady" in his diary, so the jury's still out on that one, unless that was a bit of Daily Mail editing! It's a good light read though

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
I'd find it difficult to cheer for anyone else when Heather Watson was playing, and Henri Kontinen seems very pleasant. So I'm hoping for them to win (even if significant underdogs) But I still remember 2007 - which was also wonderful - and enjoy the luxury of knowing that whatever happens one of the GB players will win.
So interesting that three of the finals involve at least one of the same players as they did a decade ago.
Alrighty, well some people appear to think Hingis isn't a nice person. Didn't anticipate that. Jamie probably wouldn't pair with her if he had a problem or thought Judy would really disapprove. And for sure I don't know my tennis history like some, i didn't see her career and behaviour first hand. But at her age now, maybe she is not of the same character of back 10 or more years ago? That would be the same kind of leniency that someone like Brydan Klien gets given.
But all in all i probably want Hev and Henri to win because I've really enjoyed watching their matches and I've watched more of them this tournament.

Thanks for sharing that. First bit that struck me, sharing your room with your 1yr old is surely not the most reliable to enure a good nights sleep while at your biggest tournament of the year. But it all worked out.
Don't know what the issues some have with Martina.
As far as I'm concerned, I've no more been able to warm to her than I have to Roger the Lodger, so personality (or the lack of it, depending on your point of view).
Not an enthralling final, but decent. Kontinen perhaps feeling the effects of his heavy schedule and long days on court. Jamie and Martina were just to clinical and the maverick genius that at times HK has displayed was less on show today. But a nice way to end the Championships.
Hev and Henri won more receiving points, but weren't clutch enough to take the break point opportunities, would have been great to have watched a decider, well done to Jamie and Martina ( still don't know how she got knocked out in Week 1 in Strictly back in the day).
I enjoyed it more than the singles finals, both of which I found cringeworthy and/or upsetting at times.
I was happy with who won, but would probably been happy the other way around too. I like Martina, and don't really remember her being a brat. I like Kontinen too, what a great serve. I'm happy for Jamie after the ten year break too, it seems like the year for reliving history.
