All the best to Andy. Starting Centre Court proceedings is probably very far from ideal in his current situation, but I'm sure he wouldn't trade back the reason why !
I know Sue Barker's not everyone's cup of tea & gets up a lot of noses, but it was still good to relive a few good memories of yesteryear with Our Wimbledon just now.
Nick K. said before the match that he's going to need hip surgery. And that he's only about 60% fit. So I don't think it was a surprise that he had to retire.
Kyrgios was a potential opponent for Murray in the 4th round. Most likely opponent now is Pouille which on grass is a better option for Andy.
In the QF, Andy is scheduled to meet Wawrinka, but I wouldn't be surprised if Medvedev takes him out later today. All we need now is Andy to win a few matches of his own.
Given his injury-hit preparation and complete lack of game time going into this time tournament, a shock first round exit is certainly a possibility today. I really hope Murray can find some form when he needs it.
Cam seemed a bit like a deer in headlights today. Rushing shots, too many errors, and although a good away serve, not enough speed on it really to trouble Tsonga. Not quite sure what he will gain from the match today, but hope he commits to the hard graft that he will obviously need to get near the top 100. Today will have made it clear that he has some way to go indeed. He will need to improve his strength too.
