The Wimbledon Men's Singles Champion 2017 will be ...

This looks truly hard to call this year with many reasons why not for just about all the top contenders, but someone has to win.

I have listed the current 6 bookies' favourites in seeding order.

Who do you think will be champion ?

I've gone for a Nadal / Ka Pliskova double.

Shouldn't anyone who votes other say who they have voted for?

Probably but I voted "other" inadvertently - an error page came up when I voted, I hit back, clicked the vote button again and it seemed to record my vote as Other. For the record, I was trying to select Federer, though I hope Andy survives the first few rounds while getting healthier then blitzes the 2nd week to retain his title.

Edit: just remembered that it is possible to correct poll results by editing the first post, though I've never done that before, for obvious reasons (and never would again except in circumstances like this), so I've switched the spurious 'Other' vote to what it was intended to be.

Hope: Murray. Expectation: Federer. Thus Vote: Federer.

I really don't expect anyone else to figure on grass, but there is reason that I don't bet money.

Erm...
I meant to vote 'other', did vote 'other', as the only 'other' at the time of Miriambee's post, must have been the 'other' that prompted that post about stating 'other'.
However, my vote for 'other' has now been eliminated, but I cannot re-vote, as the poll knows I have voted, and for 'other'.

This is election fraud! My vote doesn't coun't. I am outraged. Typical anti-'Other' bias...
Ahem!

All the first part is true though.

I voted other because I don't know who will win, I just don't think that this year it will be any of the other names listed.

Oops, I've changed it back then. After I had voted, it was Andy 1 Fed 1 Other 1 and I was sure Fed had had 1 vote before I got there, though admittedly, I wouldn't have been looking too closely at that stage because I didn't know Activeboard was going to give me an error page after voting, but all that (and the fact that the Other voter hadn't mentioned who they'd voted for) convinced me the Other was linked to the error message.

I'll leave the vote-meddling to the Russians in future wink

Come on, whoever you are.  Own up.  Let's put our necks on the line together.

I can assure people on here, however, that the 2nd Andy voter is NOT any of my "relations" around the world.

I'd love to, but having watched a clip on sky news of Andy walking looking completely lame, just after his practice yesterday, you're a braver man than me !! Had to go with the Fed, eventhough I don't want him to win.

ditto - if not Andy I'd prefer it to be someone other than the usual suspects but can't see it happening so have to go for Fed

Congrats to the 52% ( 13 people ) that went for Fed.

Rather better than in the women's where noone predicted either of the ultimate finalists to win the event.
