This is not meant as a criticism more as a request to help us all! And forgive me if anyone takes umbrage or disagrees. It's really great when someone says " Evo has withdrawn from Wimbledon " or whatever. But I also find it really, really helpful if you can attach a link to the article or an article. ...
Another little distraction for anyone in need of one, feel free to contribute. The game is adapted from John Finnemore's original in the Zurich episode of his Radio Comedy, 'Cabin Pressure'. It's called: People who should have been arch-enemies Hopefully the few examples from the show will make it...
I've entertained myself by grading player performances overall during the UK closed door tournaments. This is highly subjective but I wonder if others agree/disagree with my assessments. A- Significantly better than expected B- Better than expected C- As expected D- Not as good as expected E- Mu...
Not sure if this will be indoor or outdoor hardcourts, so left it as hardcourt. We do know it will cover mens and womens, but it seems daft having multiple threads and as Jamie Murray is organising it and as the original Battle of the Brits appeared in the mens section, I have posted it here. Hope that is...
Not sure if anyone follows this but a number of Brits are playing and all are in the mens side, so posted a thread here. GB players are Neal Skupski (New York Empire) , Ken Skupski and James Ward (Orlando Storm), Luke Bambridge (Orange County Breakers) , Jonny O'Mara (Orange County Aviators) The wiki...

These start next week and go on for several weeks, so it felt like it made sense to have a separate thread to allow people to comment on these matches that doesnt interfere with the British Tour, Progress Tour etc. Will do same for mens. Dont think individual events need separate threads, suspect it wi...

Yesterday Tennis Europe and the ITF released statements revealing a route map at last for the return of competitive junior events. Tennis Europe has the more detailed statement - planning to start from August 31 with lower grade events, but no Grade 1 or Super Category for the time being and no unde...
I see Izzy's ranking has went up to 282 she was stagnating in the 600's when the LTA were involved now playing for Australia higher ranked now than some of our highly thought of younger players.

I used to chat here, my best guess is I stopped about 5 or 6 years ago I really cannot remember the name I used far less any other log in details. Stuck in isolating and remembered enjoying the info I got here so here I am back. I am Scottish but in USA for a long time I actually played at the same club as a young Ju...
Sorry to start a new topic if there is already one that would have sufficed. I was just wondering if anyone knows of any way to get hold of footage of old matches if it cant be found on youtube/google video search? I wondered whether people on here might even have some old footage they kept of favourite mat...
Wondering who we all think will take this event in a week or two: Listed in draw order - 1-3 are in Paul Hutchins, 4-6 in Cathie Sabin. Cross over semis and a final. -- Edited by JonH comes home on Friday 12th of June 2020 12:52:09 PMEdited to remove the reference to the poll, as it's now closed.-- Edited...
I was having a think about this. Currently, I had planned a vote covering June and July and a separate one covering August. But the issue in retrospect is that August would only have the 2 weeks of the final part of SGH event, as the others finish in July, and then whatever happens in terms of maybe ATP and W...
This may seem a strange question. My wife and daughter both have iphones and my wife has an iPad. They recently took the oos upgrade that was forced on them by Apple to 13.5.1 Since then , the past few days, none of these devices will work properly using wifi, specifically on the internet. Links wont cl...
