Well done to Emily Arb who completes her 5th consecutive win against ranked opponents to win the consolation singles. She lost the first set but came back to win in 3. That is her first national college singles championship ideally not the one you want to win but plenty of competitive tennis played.
It will be very interesting to see the route Henry takes once he has finished. UNC Asheville doesnt have a reputation as a tennis powerhouse but has obviously allowed Henry to develop into the top player in the Southern Conference again not a powerhouse conference and now this! A bit like Wimbledon winning the FA Cup. In retrospect it was because they had some very good players who had just come another way.
I see Connor Thomson has signed for South Carolina, undoubtedly Paul Jubbs attitude and development has impressed the team at SC and attracted Connors attention. Strikes me as a good deal for all involved and good to see more British College players in SEC programmes.

Thanks Elegant Point and The Addict for flagging up the names of those heading off. I have now started the list off on P1 with those youngsters plus a few others.
I think Emma goes to Arizona and not Arizona State?
Oops! You're right. I'll edit my post.
But by American standards its almost the same place! Less than 100 miles from Tucson to (Tempe) Phoenix. Shame, I love the Sun Devils burnt red and gold and the devils pitchfork .... great branding. There is a 6ft 3inch bronze pitchfork sculpture in the football stadium. Arizona get an A.
Yes, they are very close. When conference play is underway, visiting teams play Arizona on Friday or Saturday and State on Sunday or vice versa. When the two Arizona teams play away, they both play the same team on different days of the same weekend period. it's just to be scheduling easier for all the teams.
