Let's have separate threads since we will have Livescoring and a lot to discuss. Main draw will feature (at least) Marcus Willis, Dan Smethurst and Dan Cox. Qualies draw - http://www.usopen.org/pdf/USOJ_Boys_Q_Draw.pdf
This match will surely be the first match on Saturday, unless it is a Muller v Djokovic semi, as I am sure the crowd would rather see Djokovic v Federer or Roddick (being American) v Federer/Muller. I'm not sure how it works on Saturday at the US Open though, like when do they put the womens final on, and do...
Tara Wigan is playing the qualies here and needs to refind her form from the spring to qualify.

Hey ive heard recently that tennis could be added as soon as the next commonwealth games in Delhi. Would this carry similar value in terms of points etc to the olympic tennis i see a potential ATP controversy as obv only commonwealth players could compete for these points(obv medals between england s...
FD's comment on the Black Forest Open doubles thread last week: Just isn't happening for Auckland at all, and this is a bad loss to have, as Scherrer is a solid doubles player, and the draw was opened up for them to go deep this week.Well, all I can say is that Aucks must be a glutton for punishment, as he's...
Tomorrow on Ashe, not before 2pm - 7pm here, ideal. This match worries me more than the others have, but I do think Andy will take it if he keeps his head and doesn't let Potty get him annoyed. Focus, Andy! H2H 1-0 to Andy - the famous match in Rome where things got heated, and Andy won when DelPo retired, bu...

Thoughts on the general action so far ? Another big shock in the womens draw last night, many people's pick for the title on here Kuznetsova crashing out in 3 sets to Srebotnik 6-3, 6-7, 6-3. Wasn't a great match, Srebotnik got very tight at the end of the 2nd, didn't think she'd make it. She was very aggre...
Anyone else think this mixed doubles final is dreadful stuff?
The lack of crowd (maybe 1,000 in a stadium holding 23,000) shows that there is zero interest among the paying public. There is no atmosphere at all. Most of the crowd are presumably just sitting and waiting for Fed to come on, and getting...
I've been away so sorry if this report has been covered here already. Its a very pro-Josh Goodall, a couple of things maybe not 100% accurate but it's certainly got its point and raises questions I'm sure we'd all like answered. Incidently, I have seen Josh play a few times and would have questioned h...
The head-to-head is 3-3. All of Andy's victories have been achieved this year. Can he make it four on the trot? If the Andy who played the final three sets of today's match against Melzer turns up ( ), then undoubtedly yes, but if not, forget it...

I was chairman of my local club for about 3 years as well as serving on a LTA county committee. As a county committee member I got to go to some national meetings at the former LTA headquarters at Queen's Club, and met many of the people running the LTA. I was very interested in trying to bring more players i...
We have three representives in the doubles side of the US Open. Ross Hutchins plays with Andy Murray, and they have drawn the Thai twins, Sanchai & Sonchat Ratiwatana. Jamie Murray is of course with Max Mirnyi, and they are the 14th seeds. They tackle Michael Mertinak & Lovro Zovko first.
