The OOP is out. Djokovic v Federer first on Ashe at 11am, then it says, "not before 12pm, Andy v Nadal, this match may be moved to Armstrong Court"
Grrrr. I bet all available livestreams will be showing Ashe. Considering the weather forecast, I will be very surprised if Andy's match is NOT on Armstrong at noon.
I hadn't thought about that, but I'm sure you're right. Let's hope Fed v Nole finishes quicly then so that we get to see a bit of the biggest GB tennis match for four years ...

Basically guys, New York is getting ready to batten down the hatches for tomorrow, when the remnants of Tropical Storm Hanna arrive, and that is meaning rain and lots of it.
Just been looking at the weather channel ( yep, dedicated weather channel ) and I'd say there is a very fair chance of there being little or no play tomorrow, so I can understand why the Monday contingency is being seriously mentioned.
The strorm is supposed to have passed through by Sunday, so I think we could be looking at semis on Sunday and final on Monday ! .
As for the match itself, I do think Andy has a chance, but he will have to play up to his very best, back to the quality of the Wawrinka match. I think he should mix it up a bit, but in general be very positive, as this has been shown to be best v Nadal, and while I think the mixture, if not the execution, was generally right v Del Potro, a more positive approach is more appropriate this time.
Anyway, all the very best to Andy. and I trust I will still get to see it whenever it is played ( I have tickets for Arthur Ashe for Saturday day and night .and for Sunday ). I don't what happens if we run into Monday for the final, but will no doubt discover tomorrow.
Anyway, as I said, don't make your day tomorrow round this match happening at all, because it is very likely not to happen, or at the very least not at the appointed hour !.
Having just watched Lena Dementieva lose to JJ, largely if not totally, due to the difficulty of trying to play aggressive tennis in the windy conditions, I think Andy's chances of beating Rafa are negligible, assuming the conditions stay as they are.
It's a shame because I think he would have a great chance otherwise but the wind makes it so difficult to attack. That's life I suppose.
In answer to kevthetim, if the final is played on Monday it will be at 10pm our time (5pm New York time) according to the official website.
OK, your local weather expert is at hand, well across the water in New Jersey anyway !
It is still dry here, although getting a bit more cloudy. Also, it is currently calm with only barely a breeze.
The weather information is currently that the rain will hit New York early afternoon.
Looking at the Open website, I see Fererer v Djokovic is starting on Ashe at 11 am ( 4 pm BST ) with a decision being made about Nadal V Murray at noon ( 5 pm BST ). I guess if there is still some chance of some effective play then, they may well move this match to Louis Armstrong with a fairly prompt start thereafter.
I'd keep an eye on the US Open website, the situation seems pretty fluid re different scenarios and possible reschedule situations.i.
Meantime, as it still remains dry with rain not obviously imminent, I'm off to catch my train, and hopefully by some miracle see a significant amount of tennis.
