Only one PR - Hrbaty. That's good news for Boggo's seeding (if at all) and Slabba's chances of making the qualies cut.

Hopefully the French and Aussie wild cards will go to players ranked inside 270 or so, as they affect the chances of Bloomers, Baker, Marray and Slabba getting into qualies.

Klein and Eysseric are strong candidates, though.

The same goes for the American WCs. The Kalamazoo wild card will obviously go to someone ranked very low, but that leaves five. I think that of those outside the qualies cut, McClune will get one.

Austin Krajicek won in Kalamazoo and gets the wild card. He'll be a seriously good player once he is out of college. Actually I was quite shocked that someone as talented as him chose not to go pro.

Quote from a pre-USO article by Robbie Koenig (the South African commentator on the AMS TV feed):

" ... Koenig goes on to recollect the very first time he encountered Murray a day he never forgot.

I played him in a first round doubles match in Nottingham [in 2003] when he was 16 and I was playing some of my best tennis around that time with my partner, Chris Haggard, who had one of the trickiest lefty serves on a grass court you could ever imagine.

But this young 16-year-old kid that Id never heard of, or seen before, carved us up on serve like Ive never seen before.

He made Chris and myself look like amateurs for a set, but thank goodness his partner managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory for them (*), otherwise we would have packed our bags early that week.

(*) That's not very nice to Martin Lee! ashamed

Andy hits the jackpot. 4 seed Ferrer in his quarter, but in Nadal's half.

It feels so strange to see Federer's name not at the top of any draw.

You probably want to know his 1st round opponent as well I expect.

1st Round: Sergio Roitman

I know, I don't know if anyone spotted it, but I originally said he was in Federer's half because I assumed Federer's was the top half. biggrinweirdface
