Everyone likes to quote the Serbs when talking about British tennis but it seems they are much more organised than given credit for. Perhaps LTA should have recruited Serbian coaches instead of the 'mega buck' ones that they did. :- Serbian tennis taking the systematic approach By JEFFREY DUNHAM A...
I'm starting a topic! Well Andy beat Novak last week at Toronto. How will they fare here on a slightly faster surface? Novak beat Rafa in straights but Andy has been looking good so far this week.
I think tis should be the thread where people can discuss players eg Boggo , Baker etc - hope theres not a thread like this. Ill start things going - Slabinsky - british number 2 next year?

I just wanted to let you know that Marcus is playing in 2008 Montana State Junior Open this weekend. I will post the draws below, but I think this will be a really neat weekend as for the first time ever he is seeded #1 in a tourney (10s Singles). When he saw that he thought he would win it as he was seeded #1....
Entries are now open at http://www.britishtennis.net/Competitions.html. I am busy for the next few hours, so won't have time to email everyone on the mailing list who asked to be emailed as soon as the entry form was available until Saturday afternoon - though of course, if you're reading this, you...
High marks to the LTA website - it looks like they are going to make proper use of their map after all now that Wimbledon is out of the way - see http://www.lta.org.uk/News/This-Week-Map/

So - it's Big Ivo tomorrow. The H2H is 2-0 in Andy's favour, but they were both close 3 set matches with 2 tiebreaks in each. Andy can do it - if he keeps focussed. But these fast courts do make Ivo a big threat - as Fed found out. . . I'm just praying for a later start!
Marcus is in another Tennis Tournament again this week. It is the 2008 JR Bozeman City Tournament. Marcus is entered in the 12s Singles, 12s Doubles and 12s Mixed Doubles. All draws have a consolation draw if you lose your first round match, so Marcus is guaranteed at least six matches. His draws have j...
Andy has yet to beat NoDjo (head-to-head 0-4), three defeats on hard, one on clay, the latter the most recent (Monte-Carlo this year). He may take it to three sets, for once, but I can't see that record changing to 1-4 here, to be honest, unless he does something really extraordinary tomorrow!
Next week in Ireland. Surface is "Artificial clay", which probably means Har Tru and not manufactured red clay... Entry lists (in Excel format). Jessica Ren's last I...
The head-to-head stands at 1-0, Andy having beaten Carlos in straight sets (2 & 4) in the last 16 in Toronto two years ago. He should be able to repeat the feat tomorrow. That said, Moyá is enjoying something of a revival at the moment... -- Edited by Stircrazy at 23:10, 2008-07-31
Edit: Updated with final results and new official DC rankings, as in Drew's post below. The World Group playoff draw is going to take place at 10 am on Wednesday 16 April, so here's a quick update to the list I compiled after we lost to Argentina, based on this weekend's Zone 1 results so far. After the Arg...
