Not surprised that Mahut got the wild card, but I bet he's delighted that they waited until today rather than last night to announce the wild card for him as it stopped him trying to qualify for Eastbourne which I'm sure he'd have loved to have had a go at.
Marray getting a QWC was always likely once he was given a doubles one, as it confirmed that he wasn't injured or anything like that.
Tomic getting the last WC isn't the ideal choice (and after today, I'd have liked to have seen Milton get it, but the LTA have stuck to the only finalists getting the WC's policy), but it's not the worst choice in the world and I think Tomic is definately capable of winning a round or two.
I don't think that they can leave the last wildcard open now because the next direct acceptance needs to know if they are in the main draw or qualifying.
What a bloody joke....Canas gets the last WC !!!!!
OEM rather miffed at it...HERE and rightly so...astounding...I mean we could all think of perhaps 1 or 2 non-Brits that could perhaps just merit one but a 31 yr old clay-courter. Beggars belief.

yeah i was thinking the same thing SG, i guess he's saying that if you have the WC's wouldn't it be better to pick, even from the johnny foreigners, for the last spot rather than just letting the next one in.

Can i ask why they held the 2 final W/C's back anyway, is that normal? Surely w/c's are exactly that. What is the point in awarding to the next alternate? You might as well just have less wild cards and stop all the speculation.
