As I presume everyone assumed, Andy is seeded 3. 3/4 makes no real difference.
If Rafa comes out fit, all guns blazing, although I would still make Roger clear favourite, I kind of think I wouldn't mind Andy being in Roger's half and have him as a potential semi final rather than final opponent. However much much to happen before we reach that stage.
Only alteration from rankings in the top 10 that the Wimbledon "grass formula" has produced is Simon and Verdasco swapping. Big moves up for last year's two losing semi finalists, Safin and Shuettler.
The seedings have to be based on the top 32 ranked players participating, which means Tommy Haas currently misses out by one place. He is not a first round player you want, especially given he's shown on form with his Haale success. So think a few folk would be happy to see a seed withdraw ( Fed ideally ) and Haas move into a seeded position.
No pressure! - Andy wins Wimbledon, at least the latest Robinsons/Wimbledon TV advert implies that is the case although they don't actually mention Andy by name.
Looks like there could be a few lucky losers in the main draw this year.
Monfils will be replaced by a LL and it's hard to believe that Baghdatis or Ljubicic will be playing given the injuries that they've picked up this week. And then there are those such as Stepanek, Nadal, Melzer, Kiefer etc who are still injury doubts and those such as Calleri, Acasuso etc who always seem to find a way to miss Wimbledon.
Monfils is out and Haas goes from being unseeded to being seeded 24!!
Hey, didn't take long for Haas to get that seeding position .
Until the draw is made, the 32 seeds are arranged on their rankings, with the grass court adjusment, which is why Haas flys into number 24 seeding as soon as he qualified to be seeded at all.
