So another incredible performance from Federer, dispatching Roddick 6-4, 6-0, 6-2. After their previous 3 matches in the USO final, Masters cup and Kooyong I thought it would be really close, maybe even a 5 set classic especially given how Roddick won in Kooyong on exactly the same surface. Howeve...

With the pick'em predictions competitions we've done for the slams being so popular, I wondered what people thought about maybe doing them for the masters series events aswell like Indian Wells, Miami, Monte Carlo etc as it does add extra interest in the tournament after all the Brits ha...

odds off Bet365 1.14 Roger Federer vs Andy Roddick 5.50 1.40 Fernando Gonzalez vs Tommy Haas 2.75 Is this right? -- Edited by johnnylad at 00:27, 2007-01-25
Well its looking like The Fed has another chance to win 4 slams back to back, as at the moment u cant see past him for the AO title, but i was wondering if he won all 4 in a year, or 4 in a sequence, would he be happy if raffa missed the FO when he won it? i think a lot would be taken away from his achivment, same as wi...
This is the first time since Andy won the USO that a British player has progressed into the semis of a Slam, so I thought that we should have a topic. Dyce has a golden chance of reaching the finals of a Slam. He is a good doubles player in any case and it seems like Heliovaara complements his game a bit too wel...
Now that they've all played 2 games, I was surprised not to see Andy on the leader board for points won receiving (either 1st or 2nd serve). Then I had a look at match stats, and he's won 44 pts when receiving 1st serve , and 46 pts receiving 2nd serve, which should put him right up near the top of the list.

Lucy Shuker is representing Britain here, in singles and doubles. R1: Lucy Shuker GBR d. Agnieszka Bartczak POL 6-1 4-6 6-2 R2: Lucy Shuker GBR v Sharon Walravan NED (3) All this talk of Andy Murray and you've all missed our best chance of an Australian Open winner. Tough one here for Lucy tho...
Nominees: Alex Bogdanovic: 2006 was "Boggo's" best season to date. He began in stunning form, winning the Wrexham and Bergamo challengers back-to-back. Bergamo was his first overseas title and along the way he beat world no 56 Andreas Seppi. Throughout the season Alex made 9 quarter-fina...
Nominees: Mel South: Mel began 2006 ranked in the 400s and ended the year at 167. Undoubtedly, the highlight of her season came at Wimbledon when she played the match of her life to upset world no 14 Francesca Sciavone in 3 sets in round 1 before going out to American Shenay Perry in straight sets...
Murray plays Nadal in a night match since Hewitt is knocked by Gonzo! First meeting between the two players. How do you think this would go? i think Murray got a chance, if he played like he did against Chela, hes got everything. From watching Chela's match, Nadal hits alot of topsin forehands so M...

Jayant Mistry is in action here, doubles and singles. Would be good if he could pick up a few wins after an injury blighted 2006. R1: Jayant Mistry GBR d. On GRMB it says that Boggo and Mike Raff are splitting up. Suprised it doesnt seem to have been mentioned here, tho' I had heard something that has led to me not being as suprised as I would have been a few months ago. Anyone know anything about it. Apparently Boggo might be linking up with Peter Lundg...

A very encouraging report on Daniel's loss. Also includes pieces on the four doubles matches. Just as Andy Murray did a few hours earlier, Daniel Cox made a brave and creditable exit from the Australian Open boys’ singles event as he lost out to a higher ranked, older, physically stron...
