GB F8 - Bath - 2007.

Lol, annoyingly that's the week before my exams so I'll be up in York and revising hard. Don't worry, I'll find somewhere to go

Why did you change that brilliant signature of yours to this mundane one?

Qualies draw:

Wonder why Rushby didn't enter in the first place. Pretty weak draw as they didn't even get 16 players to give seedings to!

Josh Milton and Faris Akhazzan are the only young ones out there.

i wanted a change and couldn't think of anything good at the moment, will change it again soon - just as soon as I think of something new!

Should get Rushby, Flanagan, Illingworth and maybe Brassington into the main draw to join the slightly larger British contingent than we've become used to in main draws on these shores!

Not a bad first day from a GB point of view - an excellent win for unranked Harry Skinner was the highlight but there were also quite a few unranked Brits who beat unranked overseas players and a few who pushed seeds quite close. We are left with British interest in all but one final qualifying round match and we will get at least two qualifiers.

QR3 will be played on Monday.

Surprised to see Podlewski beaten so easily. He's really not living up to enhanced expectations.

I saw Harry Skinner play in Corby. He had match point against Sagoo but ended up losing. Good win for him today, he strikes the ball pretty well but to me didn't seem to have a great deal else to his game. Holds his own in rallies pretty well but not that aggressive and doesn't really have a weapon. Hopefully he'll continue to pick up the wins though.

glad to see delgado back in action - he's been out with injury hasn't he? Hopefully he can surge up the rankings now and finally break the top 100.
