What's happened to Lee Childs this year? :(
Richard Irwin is the only Brit to make a QF anywhere this week and he only had to beat an out of form Andrew Kennaugh and a player with one ranking point to do it! (well done to him though, at least he DID do it!)
QF: (WC) Richard Irwin WR 957 v (2) Thomas Oger (FRA) WR 325
On Thursday, Richard is 3rd on Court 5 at about 13.00 BST.
I keep a count of how many rankings upsets go for and against the Brits each week, not counting matches where they beat each other.
A couple of days ago, we were up 6-1 this week and it looked like it was going to be a great week. Then ranking points started to be at stake and we've been on the wrong end of 8 rankings upsets in a row.

Anyone think it's time for Childs to go the same way as Aucks and concentrate on doubles.. He's ranked 519 at the moment but certainly seems to be struggling in singles. Maybe he could play with Delgado now that Aucks is with huss.
