I really enjoyed that. Some really good performances, a few surprise results, and a fun mixed dubs match to end the day. I don't particularly have a team I'm rooting for, have faves on either side, but just enjoying the whole team environment, and the players seem to be having fun. It's just a really good mix of familiar faces, big names, and decent prospects.
Also fair play to the BBC, their coverage is basically all you could ask for - extensive and really good quality.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
Yes agree with this.
I have only dipped in and out today but watched the end of the mixed doubles with Jamie/Heather and Joe/Harriet and really enjoyed watching it.
Am pleased that the players are really taking it seriously and the support from the other team members was fantastic (couldnt see Jo there watching the dubs though?)
Yet more kudos for Jamie in pulling this together and am looking forward to the rest of the week.

Tomorrow must be one of the very few times that Choinski will have played on live British TV, and I bet there'll be a decent amount (of more casual viewers) tuning in who'll have never even heard of him, so a good opportunity for him to impress, and potentially dent Norrie's POTM hopes simultaneously.
Based on yesterdays efforts Jodie and Emma have the makings of what could be a fine Fed Cup team. Hope it actually happens. Jamie and the Murray family have done brilliantly with this tournament. I think the Murray's are about the only name that make anything happen in British tennis. At least they can get all the fit players together without any no shows.

I think that is a very good point. Clearly jamie will have a future in tournament direction based on the past month or two. And they are clearly well respected in the game as a family.
I was taking a look at Andy's hotel (Crumlix) the other day and that looks very nice and gets some very good reviews. If my daughter ends up in Edinburgh at University in a couple of months time, as she hopes, then we will need a nice hotel for occasional visits - albeit, the price is a little outside our normal bracket!!
It's possibly because I'm not quite as interested in this Norrie match as I was with Jodie vs Jo yesterday to really set the scene, but it just doesn't really feel as much as a spectacle today. Obviously they understandably want to be as careful as possible, and have certain things in place to minimise risk, but it just feels a bit like an isolated, out wide court with a couple of players scattered around. The 2 courts must be a lot further away than they were yesterday, and there's not as much atmosphere as a result.

Yeah but....yesterday was of course indoors whereas the weather has allowed them to play outdoors today and that always makes the atmosphere feel less enclosed (and the courts are away from each other to provide viewing from the banks and clubhouse areas.
