Week 30 - St. James’s Place Battle of The Brits Team Tennis - NTC, Roehampton, United Kingdom (Hard)

Not sure if this will be indoor or outdoor hardcourts, so left it as hardcourt.

We do know it will cover mens and womens, but it seems daft having multiple threads and as Jamie Murray is organising it and as the original Battle of the Brits appeared in the mens section, I have posted it here.

Hope that is ok!

Well it's one way to get additional eyes on to the men's section if nothing else wink

Na, probably as good a place as any to place it.

Nearly did a big deal with St James Place about 10 years ago and then the Spanish government screwed it up for me about two weeks before the deal was signed.

That might suggest the big names haven't signed up?

I guess you need 12 men 12 women for the tournament. so plenty of options for youngsters to be involved that coupled with Bambridge, omara, Skupski, Skupski & Ward are at the WTT in the states. 3 of them played the last BotB. Would only take 1 or 2 to not sign up also you have the UK Pro series. Be interesting to know what pays more.

That would make sense and ensure all 12 players have one match a day but there is no information out there!

Although we know the Team Captains, we dont  know what the teams are representing - ie North v South, England v Scotland, UK based v Non UK based, Old v Young...would be good if they have teams that mean something rather than Team Judie/Greg v Team Anne/Leon!!

How many days of play is there, I am sure I read 6 somewhere? So 48 matches? Which would be a lot of play? And any idea on points system -  read somewhere points would increase day by day, a bit like Laver Cup, so more points later in the week?

I think the answer is to be found in the picture attached the the addict's post.  That lists them as the Union Jacks, captained by Judy & Greg, vs the British Bulldogs, captained by Anne & Leon.  wink
