Week 30 - St. James’s Place Battle of The Brits Team Tennis - NTC, Roehampton, United Kingdom (Hard)

Great win for Emma.

I think they would have struggled to 'theme' the teams and keep them balanced.

BBs/UJs:  Aidan McHugh WR 552 (CH = 461 last August) defeated Ryan Peniston WR 393 (CH = 359 last September) by 6-4 3-6 [10-7]

Aidan redresses the balance for the Bulldogs after Jodie Burrage put the Jacks a point (or whatever!) up by beating Johanna.

BBs/UJs:  Cameron Norrie WR 77 (CH = 41 in May last year) defeated Daniel Evans WR 28 (= CH) by 4-6 6-3 [10-7]

BBs/UJs:  Kyle Edmund WR 44 (CH = 14 in October 2018) defeated Anton Matusevich WR 564 (CH = 561 in March) by 5 & 3

BBs/UJs:  Dominic Inglot & Alastair Gray CR 1005 (53+1002) defeated Daniel Evans & Lloyd Glasspool CR 331 (152+179) by 6-3 7-6(4)

I think the Bulldogs currently lead the Union Jacks by 6-4, but I may well be wrong!

BBs/UJs:  Harriet Dart & Joe Salisbury CR 227 (220+7) defeated Heather Watson & Jamie Murray CR 177 (151+26) by 7-5 3-6 [10-8]

I make that 7-4 to the Bulldogs.

What a match! It's so hard to know who to root for!

Jamie deserves a knighthood for setting this up.

Good to see that both Harriet and Heather seem fit.

Jo and Heather are playing, along with the top men on the opening day, but not Andy yet

I reckon 8-5 to the team Union Jacks at end of day 1

This is probably a red herring, as ncaa champion, does he get a us open wildcard?

 LOL, is it 7-4, 8-5 or 9-4 ?

Only followed some of the earlier matches, so catching up on results, and haven't memorised the teams yet

I see Katie and Jo are due to play each other tomorrow. This will be their first ever meeting. At least Jo  will not be able to say she knew little about her opponent which is what she  said about Jodie.

And it's only worth 1 point. Amazing opportunity for Olivia Nicholls to play with Jamie Murray, and Jodie playing with Andy.

I think Cam and Jodie take the plaudits today for wins of the day.

Tomorrow looks v tight, possibly favour Bull Dogs to extend their lead after todays performances. 13 more points up for grabs I think, so still early days relative (26 out of 119 will have been contested at end of day 2)
