Oh I must have missed that bit of the thread. I agree it would be really unlucky for yet another player to be injured at their most important part of the year.
Just from what people were saying on here re: Surbiton. And now I see he has retired. Hopefully not to join our list of injured players.
Didn't seem that much said on the Surbiton thread apart from Nix talking about on what they saw Jay seemed to be overplaying the percentages. Unless I'm missing something.
Jay's general results over the last couple of months or so seem to me to be fairly sound. And he's won more than he's lost against top 200 players this year. So I'd have felt he had a reasonable chance today?
I do hope that it's nothing too serious re his retirement.
Jack lost a close first set but I think he may look somewhat spent now. Great to see him back in action though.
edit. hes already up a break so maybe its just his sort of stiff lumbering walk that makes him look more tired than he is.

Yeah, I watched most of the first set and thought he had a bit of a limp when heading back. I went out for a bit and turned the stream back on, probably expecting him to have retired and was very surprised to see him 5-0 up in the second.

Yes but it seemed to me like a limp that came on after he lost a point and never when he'd won the point

Duckworth is a pretty good player. Overall this year has been positive for Jay so I hope it continues. I was referring to the overplaying percentages yes.
