He does look shattered. Barely tried in that last game.
I was on court when Rublev took out Norrie in R4 last year. He is getting annoying now.

Whatever happens, Jack has played some incredible tennis this match. But he does look knackered now, hopefully he can get a gust of energy to win in 5

Hee hee. I don't think it's going to happen but we might as well look on the bright side.

The thing is that Jack at his best could beat Rublev. It's not like Rublev is another league from Jack. He's clearly not.

Still a chance whilst it is still alive. How many times did we say Andy or Djoko was out and they turned it around - not saying Jack is either of them but not counting him out.

It's not like Jack is going to accept defeat he definitely isn't going to as long as there is breath in his body but he's just been broken again in set 4. Damn.

Noble effort by Jack to make Rublev now serve for it.

4-5*

ESPN commentary over here seems to be same commentary team as GB- jimmy Arias a British lead commentator.

I didn't see the full match but did the shoulder hold up? Stamina and energy levels clearly gave way in that last set from what I could see but just wondering if Draper will be left out of the GB squad..

I'm actually thinking he's shown enough this week to make the team and I'm fairly certain Leon will pick him as his 5th player.

I'd actually play Dan and Jack because Cam is having a poor end to the season (No way is Leon going to drop Cam though) and Andy and Dan in doubles as they performed well at one of the pre US Open masters series.

It appears to me that Jack should be nowhere the Davis Cup team, at least as far as being a potential selection. Needs to clear up injury issues. He was saying he had another small tear in his shoulder coming into the US Open.

Maybe now bring in Joe as the 5th the team member? Although Neal & Joe haven't really clicked. I'd still either prefer them or Neal & Dan before Dan & Andy for doubles.

Makes no sense to have more than three singles players when only two singles matches per tie. And surely with so many highly ranked doubles players, it's worth having two doubles specialists on the team. If Draper is protecting an injury, think he would be better off resting before continuing his assault on the rankings. It's a shame there is still not an obvious GB doubles pairing.
