"This was a really good quality match," said Weston. "The boys had to adjust to tricky conditions and that is the best I have seen Luca Pow play since he won this event last year. When you consider what is at stake with the Wimbledon qualifying wild card and the title that is on the line, Luca's achievement is impressive."
100% agree with him - the best I've seen Luca play for ages - AND at such a key moment - peaking for the one event that really matters - that takes skill and planning.
As discussed very good for juniors to experiment and generally continue to develop during matches but also on occasions simply to bring their best to the table and win, particularly on more important occasions like here.

There seems to be a qualification list as well, but not sure how they get into the 16 player field above, as there appears to be 16 names?

It's a 24 player main draw Jon. 13 direct acceptance, 3 WCs, 8 qualifiers.

Just to note that Scarlette Hetherington is on the list
Scarlette has been playing for France up until very recently but has reportedly now changed her tennis allegiance to GB
As per my post back in 2022:
Her father in British, her mother is Australian and Scarlette was born and raised in France.
She has a British passport, but also has a French one and an Australian one (lucky girl), and has chosen to play for France (EDIT - now GB)
Her older brother, Jaydon, who is a pretty decent player too (but not of her ilk), and also was born and lives in France, has chosen to play for Australia
