Luca Pow, defending champion, was 2-4 down in the tiebreak and managed to win 5 points and take it 7-6(4)

Oli Bonding is showing some excellent control and net play - will be interesting to see him on the grass

Currently leading 4-2

Luca having a good week in the nationals again, defending his title well and unseeded in the process...

Oliver Bonding (born 2007) was runner-up in the U16s

But I think we're going to be seeing young Oli in the adult Wimbly qualis in June

He won his semi-final very handily, 6-3 6-2, against Searle who is a decent player.

The other semi has now just gone into a third set

Great tournament(s) for Oli and hat tip again to Ben, who clearly played brilliantly to beat him last week.

I realise winning it is a whole different level, but does the under 18 runner up get more wild cards etc than the u16 winner does?

Very tight first set - playing outside - and Luca wins the tie-break

Luca looks wonderfully strong and fit - he's been doing some brilliant gym work
