Am enjoying watching a bit of Jefferson and Harrison (sounds like a firm of solicitors) - never seen Seb play before.

Henry continues to be underwhelming but it's very tight and he had a very, very lucky dead net ball and is now serving for the first set at 6-5

It's a shame there's no steam for qualis but the three matches I'm most curious about today are:

Alex Okonwko v Ilias
Dilhan W v Oli Hague
Henry J v Seb Harrison

The Okonkwo family have three sons (that I know of). All three are tall, well-built, pretty amazing 'athletic specimen' guys. Also, really nice kids, and nice parents too.

Oliver Okonwko is a very good tennis player, at college in the US. Age 22 now - am hoping to see him give the pro tour a try at some time.
I saw him play in juniors a couple of time
There's an excellent 20 sec interview and tennis clip here:

The middle son, James, is 6 ft 8, and basically grew too tall for tennis - had an excellent serve but then tripped over his feet He's doing basketball in the US college system and doing really well

Alex is the youngest (that I know of). Again, compared to your average 17 year-old, he's twice the size and twice the power. It's never easy as a youngster to learn know how to use that power to your advantage - to find the right balance. But Alex has been playing British Tour and UTR events recently and so the match practice should have done him good. Ilias is a very decent player so I'd have like to see that match

 And Alex wins 7-6 6-4

Really pleased - now to keep focus for the second match (the FQR) this afternoon

Henry came through 7-5 6-2 : some good serves, and a little bit of luck at the end of the tight first set.

Dilhan's score was more one-sided than I expected - only saw a few balls though

Yes - a really good set. Some nice serving, nice net approaches, little bit lacking in footwork, as normal....

But I wouldn't trust Alex not to go a bit AWOL in the second set

And Fab has been off for a bathroom break, to get his head together, I imagine, more than anything else

Yeah, but several nasty UEs in the that game and he's now broken

He's not the first or the last to do it - but it's a shame when you just know it'll happen

However, plenty of time....

Im really noticing a difference in the quality of the 18u and 16u. Even though oli bonding and gusic-wan are two of our best under 18 the overall quality of even the 18u qualifying is a whole different level

Absolutely dreadful game from both Fabio and Alex - Fab had a DF, hardly any first serves, two really sloppy UEs..... and Alex hit a passing shot to planet Mars, dumped an easy second serve in the net ....

Really bad window on boys tennis - wake up lads - and Fabio won the game
