With the major clay court season over I will be doing an update on the competition this week. Lots of changes in the rankings, and consequently changes on our leaderboard. It'll be a few days before I get time to finish processing and checking though. It looks like As You Were has dropped from 77 points to 60 points.
Thanks TA - out of interest, does the As You Were points tally usually end the season roughly the same place in terms of points in mens and womens, and what is that typically? Or has it been all over the place in past years ? Im guessing it is a decent measure of year on year churn so wondering if that is consistent or we see big fluctuations between seasons?
Here is the latest table at the end of the clay court season. Not a brilliant period for British tennis, and everyone's points have dropped by an average of 7. The rankings used are those of 12 June being the end of Roland Garros, but do include the results from Surbiton as this overlapped.
As You Were has dropped 17 points which is a reflection on the performance of our top ten over the period. Historically the points have ended up nearer 40 though, rather than the curretn 60, although this could also be the result of a good year !
Edit - typos

Thanks TA, interesting update and well done Telstar, so far, and Mdewey. But my pinsticker approach puts me in equal 3rd and I am gonna chase you down with my eyes closed and not much else!
I will run off the new tables later this week when I have time. In the meantime I suggest that you check your nominations and decide whether you want to use your substitute. I will set the deadline for changes a few days before the Canadian WTA1000 event to give me time to update the tables and publish again. For simplicity I'll make the deadline midnight on 31st July.
