Pretty ugly match from Emma so far. Lots of loopy short balls and unforced errors. Seems to be pretty tentative and nervous.

Garcia playing very aggressively though, coming to the net a lot. But Emma's in this if she can just up the level.

Really disappointing performance from Emma. Just nothing on her game today, so many errors, very unclutch on big points and the shots that were going in were mostly fluff mid court balls. Disappointing - her game seems to have regressed a lot since last year.

But still hopeful that she can pull it altogether over the coming years.

I got the impression that Emma wasn't getting the depth of shot that she usually gets. That was allowing Garcia to close into the net putting Emma on the defensive.
