The Spain versus Japan mens semi had nearly 7 hours of play over 3 rubbers. These guys play tough.
Britains juniors can hopefully take the title today- Dahnon Ward is ranked 3 in juniors and Andrew Penney is 4, their opponents are 6 and 8 respectively. However, the Aussies next best is 10 whilst our next player is 20, so Aussies have the depth even if we have the top end quality.
Final will be on Sunday as Will mens and womens, quads final is today.
Our number two player who lost was our number 4, Josh Johns - ranked 22 versus Dumsday at 8. Not sure why our 2 and 3 players didnt play, perhaps saving for the doubles decider.
Dahnon is favoured to win the top singles though and it will come down to the doubles.
Next week there will be an ITF1 event in Annecy, France,
French Open at RG in week 2 of the slam.
The French Riviera Super Series event, in Nice, runs from 7-12 June.
The British Grass Court Champs at Queens and Birmingham run during the week of the respective pro events taking place. (this is ITF 2 level but it is one of the main British events)
Wimbledon
the British Open in Nottingham runs from 12-17 July
(The US Open doesn't appear on the schedule for some reason but I have no doubt it will be played. Also missing is the USTA Super Series event, so maybe there is some issue with the US events currently)
End October, the NEC Masters (Tour Finals) takes place from October 30th in Netherlands
In Barcelona, Alfie and Lucy are into singles QF's and doubles SF's. Richard Green is into the Quads singles SF's and yet to play doubles. Cornelia has lost her matches.
