4th round looks winnable too! Where does this take her in the rankings? Strong possibility she will be the last Brit standing. Who would have predicted that?

Brilliant attitude, confirming the promise she showed as a junior. The latter stages were particularly impressive as, having been in the zone for the middle part of the match (unsustainable) she was able to regroup once Cirstea started to turn things round.
You won't see a better performance in the entire tournament from either side of the draw. World class! The passing shots were insane. There aren't enough superlatives. Take a bow, Emma!
Also, Ajla is a pretty similar opponent to Cirstea, both in game style and ranking...
In reaching the fourth round in her first Grand Slam singles tournament Emma has achieved something that Heather has failed to achieve in 39 Grand Slam singles tournaments.
Amazing. Love the never say die attitude, and the way she resets after each point. Not afraid to go for her shots out wide, even when the opponent is coming to the net. Closing out that match wasn't easy at all. Mobility is key to her game, getting quickly to the ball. She's able to put pressure aside, somehow.
Absolutely incredible, she has the beating of most of the draw however If I was coaching her I'd be encouraging her to play more doubles, she seemed a bit nervy coming in.
Wow wow wow!!!!!!
I had to go out after the first set (fortunately back in time for Cam!!). Thank goodness for Radio commentary!!!! Will enjoy watching the second set later on!!!
