Yes, agree with much of the above, and Andy P.
Katie was really striking the ball well, Lizette was playing very well too, it was a good match, very close in the first set, and Katie did an excellent job.
Well done to Naiktha too, it's a big win for her, on an important stage.

Might have been mentioned but Pironkova and Konjuh seeded to meet FQR. Such a shame

Sadly the rest of the set went quite fast - Matilda struggling on power, and particularly on serve at this level. Particularly the serve - don't believe she got to deuce on any of her service games

[WC] Mutavdzic 1-6 0-0* [23] Konjuh

Second set similar to the first - I don't believe Matilda held serve and that was her achilles heel

[23] Konjuh CRO d. [WC] Mutavdzic GBR 6-1 6-2

Of all the results, though, I think that is the least that was ever in question.

So 4 out of 6 Brits through from these qwcs actually awarded. Take that! - but we should have been looking at more than 6 in the draw.

20 points for a QR1 win, with 30 available for a second win. 20 points makes a big difference to someone like Eden and could give a jump of around 50 places in the rankings.

Just to add, the prize money this year is:

QR1: £8.5k

QR2: £15.5k

FQR: £25.5k

Hi RedSquirrel - thanks for that. How do you find that on Live tennis. I can find these forecasts but cant see a tab with a live forecast in play (these are static in the link I have provided) and I cant see on their menu how you get a live forecast 3 weeks out?
