Three break points in the last game of the set. She only won three points receiving in the rest of the set, so a bit of a problem.

Hopefully Beth has found a way now - she's just broken to 15 to lead *2-0 in the second set.

For the Andre Lukosiute fans and followers (from yesterday, as a quasi-Brit), just to note that she has taken the first set 6-1, against the top seed

Having been broken for *4-4, Beth holds and breaks to take the second set 6-4

To be fair, it was 3-0*. Just been the one break each in the final set.

Now 5-4*

Yes! Well done Beth! Neither player won two points in a row until Beth went from match point down to 8-7 up, then they traded points again until Beth finally took it 11-9.

So chuffed for her. Great fight!

As you say, really chuffed for her.
She's sometimes choked in tight matches (or so it seems to me).
Great that she got through this at the clutch moment

Totally agree with that. Really great to see her come through, especially after the really tough first set.

Katie making slightly heavy weather of this.

Up 61 *43 but some long games and she's had to fend off several break points.

And having missed multiple points for 5-3*, she loses the set 6-4. Hmmm.

6-1 4-6 0-0*

Really struggling with her serve in the second set - making just 41% of first serves and only winning 53% of those (i.e. 8 out of 31 points). Broken for 4-6 and the set.

Gets over the line in the third, 6-1 4-6 6-2.

7 of the 8 seeds have made the QFs, Lissey the only one not to, although her conqueror did back up her win to be the only non seeded player remaining.
