Week 32 - UK Pro Series Classic Week- St George's Hill, Weybridge - (Hard)

Haha, that made me laugh. You scared me away Jon wink - you should start them up again, and that could be one way to get rid of all the waffle biggrin

To be honest, I very rarely ventured on to here or tennisforum to even browse during lockdown. Obviously the streams have massively helped, as I wouldn't be posting at length if it was just a case of following live scores for an exho, but I think the main reason I got so invested in SGH is because I was still on furlough at the start, and then gradually eased to part time, and only the last 10 days or so have I been back full time, but it's all just from home so I can easily have the matches on at least in the background, and there's still a bit of picking and choosing my hours to some extent.

It'll be feel weird next week though with no live tennis (that I know of) for the first time in about 2 months until the Friday anyway when the BT and WTA/ATP Cincy start.

The real thing that will measure interest isnt going to be folks posting here, sadly, it will be viewers of the streaming and bets placed.

No idea if they measure those or if theres any information but those are what matter.

And let's face it, the mens is a much more interesting week, v tight. But the posts here are several pages more than the mens. I'm posting a little in both, but really it is you ,(Ace) and TA who are driving the overall levels of perceived interest each week as a largely two person show with a little help from the likes of me!

So no real way of telling how it's going as you'll happily post regardless of whether it's two ducks playing or two tennis pros!

And that's meant to be a positive by the way, hopefully humorously put!

Ah yeah, it's definitely me and TA, with the majority of posts in the women's SGH sections, and as TA says, he's kind of like the SC to an extent by keeping up to date with the results/schedule, but I was just meaning there seems to have been a bit less interest from others, and cya was one of the main people I was referring to, and she's already given her comments about it. There's a few others who would post a fair bit on the big bulky thread, but not so much at the moment.

You can tell how much I've posted, I think I posted literally once, like one actual post, between mid March when the ITF events ended until late June / early July when the BT events started up, and I'm sure I was on something like 6900 total posts in March and I'm now on 7600+, and bar the 2nd BotB event, the Progress Tour, the BT events, plus the odd sporadic post, more than half of those would have been on SGH related threads.

cya has been a bit busy with work , sorry if I've been missed

I think they should be, I hope they are anyway, but I was mainly meaning we've had some sort of streamed British tennis literally everyday for at least 6 weeks with SGH, and then the 4 days before that with the first BT event, as well as a couple of supplementary WTA events the past 10 days, and the BOTB/Progress of course, but from Monday to Thursday next week there'll be nothing as the BTs don't start until the Friday. I'll have to have a couple of box sets on in the background instead.

Sonay going the distance in the first match. I looked at the scoreboard earlier and she had a lead in the first set, but Emily came back to take it.
So 5-7 6-3 and MTB

Yeah, 5-2 up in the first set, but Emily stormed back to take the last 5, so another MTB for Sonay, but this time she won, 10-3.

Emily definitely finishing in bottom 2, and Sonay can't finish in top 2 now that she didn't get the 3 points (due to other fixtures), but she can still finish in the next playoff bracket if she can beat Freya tomorrow.

Good timing with both matches finishing close together.

Harriet home and dry into semis now, alongside Emma and Jodie.

Down to Naomi and Freya to fight it out.

PS Jodie is a set up on Emma

Shame for Eden, but that extra point could still prove crucial for her. If Freya beats Naomi later then it's out of Eden's hands, but a Naomi win and then Eden would just have to beat Naomi tomorrow, possibly even 2-1 would do, to make the SF. Still really close.

I'm hoping Emma can take this one to a MTB, but I'm about 10 mins behind at the moment.

The lack of tennis in the early part of the week might allow some time for Eat out to help out!!!!! Could please Rishi!

Into a MTB in the Emma-Jodie match. Now let the best player (in the MTB) win.
