The main draw entry list has been announced. As noted by seagull in the weekly entries thread, there are not Brits on it. It will be interesting to see who is awarded a wild card. Dino (ranking not high enough for him to be a DA)? Liam? Paul Jubb? Jack Draper?
You would hope Paul would get one being the first Yorkshireman to have won the NCAA mens singles. Something the rest of the UK cant claim. I understand the Yorkshire LTA have been very supportive in the past.
Presumably with jay into Queens, as is Dan of course and James Ward and Jack draper in queens qualies, then Evan, Ryan, Liam , lloyd seem to be the most likely 4 from which the 3 other wild cards will come?
I have to say, the Ilkley field is strong. I actually fancy 2 brits to win through, Paul and Evan Hoyt. But wider than that, Jordan thompson is off a final at ATp 250 level in Holland Marius Copil plays and it is a good field. Looking forwards to it

I hope Jan is now fully recovered.
Would you Adam & Eve it? Yes, unfortunately!
L48: (WC) Jan Choinski WR 285 vs (Q) Brydan Klein WR 355
I imagine Brydan will be quietly confident, given that he has a couple of wins on grass under his belt & that Jan is coming back from injury.
You see, I am quite happy with this. I never mind two Brits playing, it guarantees one progressing for a start and both could probably use the win. And I always find it more interesting to see how Brits match up in proper tournament play. I think like you that Klein is likely to feel confident, but it should be quite tight I think.
