I'm looking to go again next year (went in 2018), started looking into it a couple of days ago. Would look to go for Friday to Sunday again, but the same Premier Inn is quoting £200 this time whereas I got the same 3 nights last year for £120, and that's a big difference. Thoroughly enjoyed the 2018 event.

is that in Harrogate? Leeds isnt too far or Bradford and prices may be cheaper in those places than Harrogate where prices are usually higher to be frank...Bradford as a whole is best and maybe 35 mins away by car . Currently suggesting £52 a night...https://www.google.com/maps/place/Premier+Inn+Bradford+North+(Bingley)+hotel/@53.8653051,-1.8577972,17z/data=!4m10!3m9!1s0x487be565e0b1ad55:0x4cb28da1ce06321c!5m4!1s2020-06-18!2i2!4m1!1i1!8m2!3d53.865302!4d-1.8556085

Decent and Bradford, two words not often used in the same sentence.

Cheers Jon, it was a Leeds Premier Inn (one with a TGI Friday almost attached to it), and I'd be looking to do that again - train from Newcastle to Leeds, then a daily train to Ilkley. It's the Saturday which really boosts the price, it's like £100+ for that day, so I might look to go Thu-Sat instead, as although I'd obviously miss both (singles) finals, I'd see more matches on the Thursday and there'd be more chance to see Brits play the earlier you go - I'd be gutted if it was an all British final, ha.

No real urgency to book anything though because I missed the early bird match tickets, so can't purchase until later in January, andit was Feb or March when I booked the hotel in 2018, so the price might actually come down the closer it gets, which sounds strange.

Sounds sensible, it sounds like the one at the start of kirkstall road , so v close to city centre and lots of places to eat as well as the station. Go for it!
