Paul Jubb played a very good set but ended up losing it - just - in a tie-break.

With him and Cam at the same time, as well as Lissey and Hev, it's multi-tasking time....

He wont be so miffed now as he has replaced Jordan Thompson as Lucky Loser which means straight a Bye into the 2nd round and in the number 1 seed spot...

That's actually quite funny....smile

Brydan got a LL spot at Surbiton, and then won.

I guess things go around and come around....

Does that mean he picks up 2nd round prizemoney guaranteed? So if he doesnt win his last 32 match, he will have played 1  qualie, lost and gets 2nd round main  draw money; whereas Brydan, say could have won a match and go out next match and earn less? Or doesnt it work like that?

Looks like he's listening to you CD. He's got a double break of serve in the final set. Come on Paul!

Wow, he finished that in style: three aces in his final service game to win the match 6-2 in the third. Very impressive from Paul against a top 200 player.

Great to see Paul win, doing ok at this level so far.

Re grass, presume being from Yorkshire he will have played some county junior stuff (did he play County senior) on grass as we have plenty of grass venues left including Hull, Hallamshire, Chapel Allerton, Huddersfield, Ilkley of course and others so cant imagine he wouldnt have played amateur stuff back a few years ago..

Paul's gained 10 pts in the last two weeks. Another 10 pts and he takes out Alex Ward as GB #10
