Good stuff. Joe won't make the top 100 this week whatever, but he continues to add some very good points. Well done to both him and Brydan and all the best for the final.

Little in it so far, both serving very well. 3-3

Liam takes 1st set 6-4. Not much in it at all. King was broken at 4-5 but gifted it to Liam with two double faults at 30-30

Liam had to save bp himself at 4-4 with some gutsy net play

I wonder if all those low flying aircraft are annoying the players as much as they are annoying me.

Does anyone know why they had to replay the point in the last King service game, presumably why he swore loudly on being broken?

Never mind, he won through in straight sets . Good mental strength in the last few games. Well done!

Liam wins a close match 6-4, 7-5.  There was little to separate them for much of the match. EK was poor at key moments, he hit 4 DFs at really bad times and was a break ahead in the 2nd set.  It was a good performance from Liam but certainly not exceptional. He was mentally tough.  Congrats, mate!

Great from Liam two wins when not necessarily playing one best, fantastic stuff.

Couldn't work it out either.. Cracking shot to win it at the end.

That's what I was thinking too, though I imagine it's part of a plan to stay on in Australia during their spring and summer. Of course, in time zone terms at least (not sure about distance and too lazy to check), US west coast to Australia is about the same as Europe to US west coast, so it may not be quite as bad as it seems.
