He made out a little while ago that he had distanced himself from the LTA again to help with the rapprochement with his father. Though some distancing may have rather been to do with funding from the LTA when his ranking dropped prior to going back up last year.
He has certainly seemed to enjoy being with the Davis Cup guys in the past.
As discussed in the Rennes thread it increasingly looks possible that Liam might play ahead of Cam.
I didn't see the 3rd set and reports are he visibly slowed up for a point or two in the 3rd set, Cilic said as much (as reported by BBC). Was he moving ok, will he be good to report into Leon for GB duty? What do we know, did it look an issue?

Kyle Edmund did not want to talk about his injury at all, out of respect for Marin Cilics excellent performance, but it was a hip issue. Hes keen to play Davis Cup next week but it must be in the balance now.
Without knowing more, but just based on the little we do know and the couple of weeks we have seen with Kyle, long matches and not the first issue, I'd be surprised if he plays. But then he has been very much surprisingly me lately, though any rash choice would not be a good surprise.
Great if it quickly clears up and he plays. But he certainly shouldn't be taking chances if there remain doubts. All the best to him.
Mike Dickson from the Mail has positive news on Twitter.
Apparently Kyle Edmund has pulled up okay today and after flying home will meet up with the GB Davis Cup squad in Marbella on Monday, still hopeful of playing.
Just seen some clips on twitter of Cam and Liam practising on the clay in Marbella
Over the last couple of days that have now posted (at least) three videos and all of them show Liam and Cam. More to the point, they show ONLY Liam and Cam which is worrying. I guess that Kyle would need some rest even if he is fit to play but it is worrying not to see him there at all.
Liam's goals this year (from the video Steven has posted) - to be a member of one Davis Cup squad (so achieved already), to win one Challenger event, and to make the top 100. So we will see how well he does in attaining the latter two aims.
As I understand it, Kedders flew out there Monday. GB medics to see him Tuesday. Hoping he practices today..
Video on Twitter of Kyle hitting this morning. Thats more positive but we will probably have to wait a bit longer to be sure he will play. Fingers crossed.
