Well, the draw that Mr Loffhagen and Mr Draper got wasn't likely to improve their best results, and didn't: Axel Geller (ARG)/ Alexandre Rotsaert (USA) [6] d Jack Draper/George Loffhagen 7-5 6-1. More time for the latter to focus on the singles.
On the other hand, Francesco Forti (ITA) and Aidan McHugh def. Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi (ARG) / Thiago Agustin Tirante (ARG) 6-3 6-3 ... and Ali Collins and Jule Niemeier (GER) def. Lulu Sun (SUI)/ Simona Waltert (SUI) 6-4 6-1
Well done to both. Geller and Rotsaert up next for the Forti/McHugh pairing; the Russian 7th seeds for Ms Collins and Ms Niemeier. Ms Appleton and her partner play their first round today.

Very impressive performance by George not just today but consistently since his 1st round 3 set loss at Roehampton there hasn't been a backward step.
I am not wishing the year away but the British boys junior ranking will look pretty healthy in January when the 1999ers drop off! Potentially 3 players knocking on the door of the top 20.
Yes it will be very good to see, although at the moment looking like two players rather than three.
Taking out the 1999ers, in the current rankings Aidan (07/00) would be ranked 18 and George (04/01) ranked 26. Barnaby is 1999 born and Jack would be ranked 43 ( though as often mentioned he was born in December 2001 ). Hopefully Anton will push on again too after injury.
George is currently 5th in these born in 2001 or later ( includes one 2002 born ahead of him ).
Now 13 yo Cori Gauff (USA ) takes out 16 yo ( not so happy 17th on Saturday ) (5) Carson Branstine (CAN) JWR 5, quarter finalist at both last year's US Open and this year's Wimbledon, by 6-4 6-4
Oh, and 15 yo (2) Marta Kostyuk (UKR) JWR 3 and Australian Open champion has been dumped out as well.

It is indeed Danny Thomas next (ATP 1163), who beat the 8th seed (not a big shock, as the Taipei player picked up his points mainly some while ago in weaker tournaments - and lost easily to Danny at Roland Garros). Indeed there are no seeds left in George's quarter, as the third seed was well beaten by the fast rising Timofey Skatov (top 2001)
Just been having a look at this don't normally keep my eyes on the junior tournaments. I see that George is the youngest player left in the Boy singles draw.
Has someone on here seen him play and can describe his style for those of us that haven't.
