Jo has now matched her lowest counter of 110 points so more wins now are profit.
Reach the final and she overtakes Wozniacki to go WR 7. Win the title and she also overtakes Cibulkova to match her CH at WR 6.
Svitolina and Serena would be well in sight too and clearly she will move past Serena after Wimbledon. Kerber, Halep and Ka Pliskova for now are well up the road. Though Kerber is in no sort of form and has Wimbledon runner-up points to defend.
And it was a fantastic performance from Jo & Wicky, as they defeated a top quality mutil-slam pairing, 6-0 7-6(6)
Saved set points in that second set, too.
I think that's quite possibly the best single doubles match result of Jo's career, all things considered.
A very nice cherry atop a good day on all fronts for the GB ladies in Nottingham.
Is repeating the trick tomorrow too much to ask?

SF: Johanna Konta & Yanina Wickmayer (BEL) CR 237 (114+123) vs Monique Adamczak & Storm Saunders (AUS/AUS) CR 278 (129+149) - the Aussies saw off the #1 seeds Dabrowski & Savchuk in R1 though Jo & Yanina beat the now ( post French Open ) highest ranked pair in the QF.
SF: (4) Christina McHale (USA) & Heather Watson CR 118 (44+74) vs Jocelyn Rae & Laura Robson CR 401 ( 124+277) - an interesting one indeed which I can see being close.
And Jo wins. Looked good. A little worried about her schedule in that she's playing something like 5 weeks in a row. If she wins the title here, should consider skipping Brum?
Johanna further re-writing the post Wade GB women's tennis history.
She wins against a creditable Rybarikova - who none of the seeds will want want to face early at SW19 - and into the final, 6-2 7-5
Is that our first singles WTA finallist in a domestic event since Virginia?
