OK, time to plump. I'll go for the one that's been better when Andy and Fed have played each other outdoors on grass

Not to be for Andy but Fed played well and so did Andy imo. Happy he made the semi's as that was what I hoped at least for him. Would love to see Fed win the final now and hope Andy feels proud still of his efforts.

SF:  (2) Roger Federer WR 2 defeated (3) Andy Murray WR 3 by 5, 5 & 4 cry

It's not as if Andy played badly.  Fed just played better.  furious

My bold prediction, Fed in 3 or Andy in 4 or 5.

Pity it had to be the first of those, Phil! bleh

Yes fed was just too good today. I want to have what he's eating.

However, he's not the Saint I thought he was. Not above the odd bit of gamesmanship despite the halo.

I guess it's just because I support Andy so much but I don't feel the same about roger as I used to.

Federer was insanely good, I really didn't think he was capable of that any more. Andy really didn't do that much wrong.

That being said Andy winning the toss and choosing to receive was probably the dumbest decision of his career.

I know, I know. My head was saying Fed in 3, been playing unbelievable this Wimby, was just hoping Andy would find his very best tennis, he needed to !!!!! But it wasn't to be.

Agree with RJA ... Mr Federer pretty well unplayable; Mr Murray played well, but the decision to receive was somewhat curious.

He always does choose to receive, but it was a mistake this time for sure. Andy played well, Fed was just unplayable, drat him. I was afraid this might happen when I saw the way he was playing earlier in the tournament. He has made no secret of the fact that Wimbledon was his main target for this year - I hope he gets it, then he may be satisfied and ease off!

Yes, It is his normal tactic but to do so today was just stupid. Federer loves serving first in sets, rolling through service games and letting the scoreboard add pressure to his opponents. I have followed a lot of Federer matches this year and his record when serving first in sets has been really good and when he has served second it has been pretty patchy. Given how much Andy follows things I can't believe he wasn't aware of that.

More ammo for the smug git. Sublime.
