Weeks 26 & 27 - Wimbledon - main draw (grass)

L128:  Mikhail Kukushkin (KAZ) WR 58 (CH = 48 in July last year vs (3) Andy Murray WR 3

If the ATP site still has a head-to-head section, I can't bloody find it on the revamped version! furious

Potential route to the final:

Second round:  Robin Haase/Alejandro Falla

Third round:  Andreas Seppi

Fourth round:  Jo-Wilfried Tsonga

Quarter-final:  Rafa/Ferrer

Semi-final:  Roger Federer

Final:  Novak Djokovic

Found it courtesy of Steve G.   2-0 to Andy:  L32 in Brisbane & L16 of the AO, both in 2012 & both on hard.

Hey, Tsonga, Nadal, Fed, Djokovic ...

And actually that's much more impressive by name as opposed to form and fitness. Tsonga and Nadal would in more normal times certainly look the worst ones to get, but Tsonga is evidently stuggling with injury, and will at least be short of time on grass in the lead in, and Rafa very much with form.

Just see how it goes. The important thing really is that Andy is looking good !

I think that as much as Andy would have preferred to avoid Nole, Nole would also have preferred to avoid Stan.

I seriously rather doubt that betweem Andy and Stan, especially as Stan may still be winding down his French Open celebrations.

The Telegraph calls it a Nightmare Draw for Andy. Doesn't seem that way to me.

Famous last words, but I'd say he's pleased that the massive serving giants Raonic/Cilic/Anderson/Isner are in the other half of the draw, and he knows he's got too much game for everyone else apart from you-know-who.

On paper looks a bad draw I had a feeling that Nadal would come up in the quarters but with current form I doubt those players with be the actual route anyway there will be a few shocks along the way. I have a feeling Djokovic won't make the final. I think he will come undone in the quarters or semis.

If Mr Djokovic has any weaknesses on grass, his opening opponents are not the ones he'd want to be facing. I don't like the Murray draw, but his is worse. Mr Federer, by contrast, has a bit of a dream draw up until the later stages. Then again, one would have said the same a few years ago when he faced Mr Stakhovsky.

The thing about Wimbledon is that the potential for shocks I find is always higher than other slams due to the shortage of grass court tournaments. Djokovic is the only one who hasn't suffered yet I think his time might be this year. Could even be the first round.....

Great draw for Andy in my opinion. The best you can hope for is to avoid banana skins as Ratty pointed out; you're always going to have to beat one or two of the best to win it. Put Murray toe to toe with any of his opponents from L16 onwards and I'd be confident of him beating them. Until the final, anyhow, but that's a different matter! Getting to that second week will probably be the most nervous part for me.

I seriously doubt that. Former Olympic and Wimbledon champion he's never won a set against on grass or an inconsistent player on his weakest surface who has never gone past the QFs?

Wawrinka probably won't even make it that far anyway.
