L32: (3) Andy Murray WR 3 defeated (25) Andreas Seppi (ITA) WR 27 by 6-2 6-2 1-6 6-1
Unbelievable wobble after the MTO in the third set & at the start of the fourth! Good-natured match, though!

L16: (23) Ivo Karlovic (CRO) WR 25 (CH = 14 in August 2008 - he's 36!) vs (3) Andy Murray WR 3
Big Ivo's never beaten Andy in five encounters. They last met in 2012 (L32/Tokyo/hard). Andy also played him at Wimbledon that year in the L64 & beat him in four sets. Karlo beat JWT in four sets, the three he won being tie-breaks (what a surprise! ) & I think I'd have been a little bit more concerned about his prospects of a place in the quarter-finals if the latter had won...
Had to record the match and watch it this evening. I do hope the shoulder injury will be ok - it was obviously the cause of the "wobble", he was hitting with much less power then than earlier, then after the MTO, got back to what seemed to be nearly full strength.
I have a shoulder injury myself and I want a session with that trainer!
Only just catching up - was out all day and not home till very late, thught I did manage to find out that Andy had won.
Hope his shoulder is ok for tomorrow.
Eventually, watching men's tennis will consist of watching them practice their serves in rotation; until one or the other passes out through exhaustion, or boredom.
They should introduce a speed limit on service, with a warning for one violation, followed by defaults of a point, a game, and finally the match; followed by a six-month ban.
As soon as Andy's match finished I had to dash off to make dinner (and then eat it). I *think* my heart-rate is nearly back to normal. It's such a lottery playing somebody like Karlovic. But Andy has now beaten him all 6 times they have met, so he must be doing something right
You wouldn't think he would have too much trouble with Pospisil (or Pigswill as my husband persists in calling him - I prefer Popsicle), but you never know with these younger ones. Keep focused, Andy, and don't underestimate him.

I'd rather players were banned from leaving the court between sets. What happened to the old rule 'play shall be continuous'?

QF: Vasek Pospisil (CAN) WR 56 (CH = 25 in January last year) vs (3) Andy Murray WR 3
Pospisil has yet to get the better of Andy after three encounters, all in straight sets & all on hard courts (Indian Wells & Rotterdam this year, Vienna last). Andy was on court for a shade over three hours against Big Ivo, while his opponent spent a shade under six hours there (2'39" agin Troicki &, with Jack Sock (seeded third) 3'19" failing to beat Big Bruv & John Peers (13) over five sets).
