Wow. Just wow. Set an a break down, from a break up in tje decider starts cramping, saves three match points at 4-5*.

Huge effort. Hope she can recover for the final

Sensational. Piers Newbury and Mike Dickson both said she was cramping at 4-1 too - making this win even more remarkable. We've got a little star on our hands I think!

I don't think we should read too much into the opponent in the final. Junior seedlings don't count for much compared to the adults' game.

Brilliant result.

First two sets are a sort of mirror image of Andy's yesterday 6-7 6-0 and 0-6 7-6 and both through to the final!!

Have to keep reminding myself she is only 15.

I had to leave for work with Katie saving match points in the final set and expected the worst.

That is a fantastic fightback.

Good luck in the final

In the final Katie faces 16 year old Mihalikova SVK ranked a lowly JWR56 who took out the 2nd seed in R2.

An appropriate final then; and here's hoping Katie can recover from that marathon SF to prove that beating the top seed along the way trumps beating the 2nd! :)

(Well, there are only so many times you can say "Well done, good luck in the next round", aren't there?)

SF: (14) Katie Swan JWR 32 beat (5) Dalma Galfi HUN JWR 10 (= CH) (WTA 617, also a CH) by 0-6 7-6(5) 7-5

FINAL: (14) Katie Swan JWR 32 v Tereza Mihalíková (SVK) JWR 56 (CH 49 last week)

They have never met in singles at ITF level but the Slovak has beaten Katie twice in doubles, including last year's USO QFs.

Start thinking up tabloid themes and extracts... 'Swan princess'... ''Swan-derful'... 'Swan dives into the big time...' 'Swan's 'S'won!... 'No ugly duckling'... 'Swan's forehands could break a mans arm'... 'No swanning about for Swan...' 'The swan song of a junior career, as the pro ranks beckon'

etc.

Brilliant stuff!

From Katie, not me, obviously.
