Yes, very weird!  I can only think that the umpire made a mistake with his electronic scoring thingy.  A great win though!

Get in!!! Neither of them shook the umpires hand which is a shame, he actually got some over rules right on the near side.

No double fault - watching livestream - brilliant tie-break - the players had no confidence in the line judges, the line judges lost confidence in themselves, the chair umpire just wanted to be beamed up by Scottie - AND James comes through in very difficult conditions, with Kamke playing quite well as well . . .

Can anyone watching LiveStream with volume say what happened at 8-7 to Ward in the tie-break? I was watching on silent at work so couldn't tell what the let and all the subsequent commotion was about.

Mine was on silent too ! But from what I gathered James' return hit the line, was called out and got over-ruled.

After being a pretty serve dominated match, the first part of that TB was a breakfest.

Not the best time to serve evidently your first DF of the match, but we'll let him off !

I was on silent as well - only watched the last few minutes, but there seemed to be quite a lot of discussion after several points.

I had arranged my day so that I could watch, but was disappointed to see only one court being televised in Istanbul.  What was I doing wrong?

James wins! 10-8 in the tie-break.

Was (sporadically) watching the breaker (without any sound) - was both very tense, and ridiculous:

- James found himself 4-2 down and then seemed to win the next point to make it 4-3, but then it changed to 5-2
- James then did really well to get to 6-5 ahead, MP on Kamke's serve, saved.
- then I thought Kamke had won, but umpire/line judge must have deemed TK's shot out (looked on the line) - he wasn't happy
- at 7-8 (JW MP) TK then thought had won point, but think umpire called a let on 2nd serve
- Then JW thought he'd won with TK shot out, but seemingly overruled
- Was another contentious call when James brought up MP, before winning.

At the end of the match, both players warmly embraced, but neither shook hands with umpire - must have been some shocking decisions (on both sides) but thank goodness its the outcome we all wanted in the end!

Very good Wardy, should fear absolutely nobody in this tournament, now go and take the title!

If you go here next time you'll see all the steams available.

They are back playing, the final point has been overruled by the tournament referee. 12-12.

Joking :)

My stream crashed before the end so I took the 9-7 score from bet365 and the ATP app - now corrected. Great win anyway

James will have a new career high in the top 125 on Monday but can he take out Evo's career high (123)? He might already have done enough but another win would definitely do it.
