easy as you like James, now to the tougher matches, though no-one to really fear.

Colin and Jonny won 6-1 6-2, Brits 7-0 in challengers this week in singles and doubles combined, could be a good week with everyone seeded.

One small blip when they served for the first set at 5-3 & were broken.

Didn't realise that both players rankings had dropped that much. Need some quick wins to build that back.

Any ideas if Ross Hutchins will turn up on tour? I assume he will be looking for a partner at challenger level to boost his ranking.

Interestingly, Ross was recently quoted as saying he and Flembo were temporarily separating so that he could play challengers and get his ranking back up to ATP level. I wonder then why they didn't play this challenger together.

Perhaps because with Mr Hutchins' ranking considerably lower, they wouldn't be as highly seeded? Also were I Mr Fleming or Mr Marray, I'd try for a high seeding at some Challengers to "gel" and get some easier points and then go for 250s.

As Ross has now announced his retirement from the game, I wonder if Fleming and Marray may stay together?

They could do worse!

SF:  (1) Colin Fleming & Jonny Marray CR 158 (67+91) defeated (4) Marcus Daniell & Divij Sharan (NZL/IND) CR 294 (170+124) by 2 & 3

******

Final:  (1) Colin Fleming & Jonny Marray CR 158 (67+91) vs Jordan Kerr & Fabrice Martin (AUS/FRA) CR 328 (163+165)

The Franco-Aussie pairing has been stringing together some decent results of late (Kerr is a former playing partner of Ross's, if memory serves), so they could prove a bit of a handful.

James' match has just started, and a solid hold from James in the first game

... and then promptly breaks to go 2-0 up!  Keep it up
