Josh G is doubling up as a player and coach/manager this week.
Any idea which player he is coaching/managing?
that's an interesting thread we could do with more travelling coaches
I think JG has not fully made his mind up about retirement yet
I agree A1, that JG hasn't made up his mind 100%. The others who've retired have instantly hung up their tennis shoes and turned the page. Josh is keeping his options open. And I'm not criticising him - he may well find that, by doing some coaching in the evenings, as he was at the last tournament and some private manager/coaching, that actually takes the pressure of him and he plays far better as a result.
But I think he (and potential clients) should beware of thinking that he'll be a good coach, just because he was a good player. The two don't have a great deal to do with each other.
Harry Skinner ( Tomic's hitting partner ) bags his 1st ATP ranking point. And was very happy about it!
Harry actually got an ATP singles ranking point before ... but it was just over 6 years ago! (he got it with a win in late Sep 2007 and dropped off the rankings in Oct 2008)

Ok, glad everybody appreciated my updates, always happy to be of service.
The PDAs haven't turned up yet (live scoring devices) but should have arrived by tomorrow, so livescores are still in jeopardy for tomorrow.
So as per usual at these events, I end up talking more than I actually watch, but anyway.
Spoke to Sam Hutt(nice lad), hoping to be top 850 by end of year, said Daniel was in good form, had limited chances, but with a little luck could have taken it to a third set.
The Coupland/Farquharson match was a seesaw affair. Tom won a tight 1st set and seemed to be the mentally stronger, got a double break up in the second and then I have no clue what happened next ( collapsed completely), lost the next 5 games, Coupland gaining confidence with every game. If Tom can comeback in the third, I left after the 2nd it will be one of the finest on record.
The Cash/JoshyG matchup was an interesting one. Very impressive from the young man in the first set in particular his volleys were exceptional. But Josh gradually worked his way into the match, and was in complete control by the end of the third, bar a late wobble, having to play a high level to be in that position. Josh was full of praise afterwards about the youngster, and knowing Josh he doesn't give out praise unless its merited.
Spoke to Rob Carter as well, another decent chap ( I'll gloss over the fact he's from Southend ;) and he explained that his major breakthrough this year is mainly due to better fitness.
I spoke to the Indian guy that beat Porter and he said that David played a solid match and was dangerous having come through qualies.
Harry Skinner let off a victory scream that could be heard in Newcastle following his victory.
Marzi I thought looked in decent nick.
