Agreed A1.

Also, as opposed to not wanting a retired player to take points away from more active players, I am also actually a fan of Josh playing these tournaments. He is an excellent barometer of where our younger guys are at. If they are not able to consistently beat a retired Josh, they clearly still have a lot of work to do and it may be counterproductive for them to pick up the points if Josh wasn't there.

This is true. I'll be hoping that another Brit does stop Josh getting all the points (unless he's really thinking of playing full-time again and chasing the new Challenger bonuses, of course! ) but as much because that'll show that they're good enough to do so as for any other reason.

Josh G is doubling up as a player and coach/manager this week.

Any idea which player he is coaching/managing?

Not sure why it did that, I have put up draws many times before and it hasn't done that! I'll change that now.

I kind of like the idea of Josh as some kind of control experiment for the younger British players.

Ashley and Tom will want to make up for their recent quiet periods (fitness permitting)

It should be an interesting week.

I wonder if there is a clue in that draw as to who Josh G is working with as a manager/coach

I wonder if the fact that Josh is partnering Harry Meehan answers paulisi's question

David PORTER (GBR) [3] 7-5 6-1 Vincent GILLESPIE (GBR)

quite a few, on the face of it, surprising results there . .

He's playing Robert Carter - might depend how rob's serve is going ?

There's 2 Qs playing - Skinner v Taylor - so that's a point there.

I want Tom Allen to win and get his point (sorry Clay Crawford) - got a nice game.
