RE: Week 41 - Israel F13 ($10,000) - Akko (Hard)

A little strange that Jonny tweeted about his doubles win but said nothing about his singles win which I am sure must have pleased him quite a bit more.

Perhaps, but it must be awkward beating a friend. Hard to sound pleased but not too pleased, I guess.

Really good win for Jonny today. It is hard to get over excited though when a victory comes at the expense of someone else who you also want to win. Tough for Liam but I am sure he will be back fighting next week.

If Jonny makes the QF, that should see him inside the top 1000 for the first time. Always good to tick off a landmark like that.

Well done Jonny really good win not surprised though as he has improved a lot this year and was unlucky with the injury at felixstone which has held him back in the last couple of months

Jonny has had some results this year to suggest when he has a proper injury free run at men's ITF, he can jump up the rankings very quickly. Great chance in the next round.

Very pleased for Jonnylad, and here's hoping that he can win a few more rounds here.

Great win for Jonny, disappointing for Liam but he was possibly a little rusty. He was starting to build up a head of steam prior to the injury so hope he can rediscover his form of a few weeks back.Presumably he also follows Jonny on Twitter too which may explain the absence of a tweet, maybe Jonny didn't want to rub it in.

And Toby pulls off the victory 6-4 in the 3rd set - I think.  See below.

Not such good news from the other matches though

Evan is down 2-6 1-3

Luke is down 1-4

Still time for some comebacks though.

Edit.

Hold fire on that Toby score. Just read  Jonny's tweet again and not so sure.

Great battling performance from @TobyMartin93! 64 67 64!

But it doesn't say Great Battling performance in victory. It could be an honorable defeat.

There is a live scores feature on the page I posted earlier now. Maybe it was still setting up yesterday.

(It has In progress, Results, Schedule and Draws)

Edit: No sign of Luke's match yet, but unfortunately it confirms that Evan lost 6-2 6-4

Bob in Spain, Steven, I don't know if one or both of you tweet Jonny (or just read his ones, like I do) but if you do, please say a big thanks !
