Massive match for Andy with the byes available in the clay court tournaments coming up. It seems like he's done an awful lot of work to make up one spot in the rankings, doesn't it?

Fingers crossed he can make the final (at least).

Yeah, it's so tough to go up the rankings when you are in the top 15.

But it's hardly a bad thing as it's equally tough for a talented player to go down the rankings once he is in the top 15!

I disagree. It is far easier to drop down the rankings than climb up them.

Yup - the gap is nice but with the dreaded clay coming up it would have been nice to have been in the top 10. Even more so with the byes available for the top 8 seeds. Ah well - it could definitely be worse and he has to do better on clay this year than he did last year (providing his confidence hasn't been completely shot with the loss tonight right enough.)
