2024 Paralympics Wheelchair Tennis - Roland Garros, Paris (Clay)

Dutch player Van Koot won bronze in the womens singles. Her countrywoman, de Groot is in a tough battle for gold with Kamiji of Japan. Looks like entering a third set. Alfie and Gordon follow that. The womens singles is on More4 currently and has a massive and very noisy crowd.

Amazing - Kamiji of Japan beats De Groot. First non Dutch winner of the womens singles ever. De Groot never loses and Kamiji and her team are absolutely in bits!

De Groot also very upset but very gracious.

Thats some result though. Well done Kamiji and Japan. Marvellous scenes.

De Groot inconsolable. Her parents are being amazing and shes smiling now. Im in bits here. And I never cry! Haha

Kamiji has two golds now this week and Japan and NL have two golds each - with Britain v Japan in both mens doubles and singles finals, Britain could make it 3 in two golds - or Japan could in fact end up top of the medal table with 3 or 4!

Updated medals table - whatever happens, GB will end in third place based on how the medals are calculated.

Spain took the mens doubles bronze

Alfie and Gordon in their final coming shortly!

Gordon Reid played a drop shot using slice (as you would) to win the point. The commentator described it as a reverse top spin drop shot?!

What is a reverse top spin ? When did slice or playing under the ball become reverse top spin?! What even is reverse top spin?!

Alfie and Gordon lead 6-2 4-1, getting close ! Its been a tough battle but theyve had the upper hand all the way through - perhaps its down to Gordon reverse top spin drop shot!

I've had a really busy week, but managed to watch the second set today.

Hoping to see Alfie tomorrow too!
